Elections

A poll will be held to elect one Chief and two Councilors to the Council of the Nicomen First Nation on October 13, 2021 from 9:00AM - 8:00PM.

Voters are advised that the nomination meeting for Chief and Council will proceed on August 30th at the band hall commencing at 4:00pm until 7:00pm.

As a result of the wild fires and an evacuation of the Nicomen First Nation Community, the Election process has been postponed for 30 days subject to the danger of wildfires to the community has been eliminated.

Voters are advised that chief and council have decided to proceed with the nomination meeting on July 27 as per the original notice beginning at 4:00pm and lasting for 3 hours.

Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the electors of the Nicomen First Nation will be held in the Band Hall, located at 1054 Spence Road, Nicomen, B.C. on, the 27TH day of July, 2021, beginning at 4:00 o’clock and lasting for at least three hours, for the purpose of nominating a Chief and candidates for positions on the Band Council of the said Band for the next ensuing term.
