Drynoch Resources Management Ltd. (DRM) is a recently new, fast- growing vibrant organization that is committed to the development and progress of its staff members. We provide Cultural and Heritage Assessments, Forestry Development and Environmental types of Services. We are looking for a Temporary Heritage Field Technician.

- Start and End dates: January 13th - February 17th, 2026
- Location: Lytton, BC
- Work Hours: 8 hours per day, Tuesday to Tuesday, 8 day shifts, off for 6 days
Job Summary:
- The purpose of this position is to assist the Archaeologists and other staff with Cultural and Heritage field operations, digging and screening, conducting archaeological and cultural surveys, cultural heritage research in field settings.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to the Managers of DRM and Crew Leader on the Project site.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in Daily staff meetings, meets up with Archaeologists for testing areas, preliminary survey(s), shovel testing, checking the area(s) for potential artefacts of cultural significance, note taking, picture taking, reporting and researching, Assists Senior Archaeologist and/or Field Director in conducting archaeological and cultural heritage site recording and locating high potential arch areas within the site.
Challenges:
- Being that all of the work is outside in the field, it's expected that the participant dresses for and is prepared ahead of time for working in all types of weather conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND OTHER SKILLS:
- Skills and Abilities - Familiarity with and understanding First Nation's culture. -RISC (Resources Information Standards Committee) Training would be an asset! -BC Driver's License would be an asset but is not required.
- Experience with using GPS equipment/and or an application would be a benefit! -Good oral and written communication skills. - Strong analytical, organizational, coordinating and planning skills.
- Ability to take initiative.
- Excellent physical health. Must be physically fit and willing and able to work in challenging environments.
- Must have strong teamwork and cooperation, problem solving and judgement skills. -Maintains confidentiality on all matters relating to the affairs of DRM.
- SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - Use of equipment such as cell phones, shovels, gps, screens.
- Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour.
