To All Nicomen Indian Band Members

We would like to let you know that this notice is for the Nicomen Indian Band members only and that the Sackum Road area which goes thru the Nicomen Indian Band Reserve called “Skeikut” or Indian Reserve #9 heading up towards the Red Bluff area, or as some of you know it as the Block N1 area, where the gates are installed, that the gates will now be locked as of June 3rd, 2021. 

The reasons being for locking the gate are:

1. People not respecting the land.
2. Too many bear hunters, in light of what occurred in the Shuswap & finding all those paws.
3. People cutting wood on reserve.
